Halloween costumes do not have to be elaborate or expensive. DIY costumes are just as fun as expensive store bought. I've come up with 5 easy costumes.
Halloween is not just for kids! Adults like to dress up in their favorite characters or have a themed party with their family and friends. Costumes don't have to be expensive though. DIY costumes can be quick, easy and best of all? Cheap!
Sometimes as adults, we don't know we can attend a party until the last minute. It could be because of our schedules, child care, or a variety of other things. Having a few quick and easy DIY costume ideas in the back of your head is always a plus.
5 Quick and easy DIY Halloween costumes.
My husband and I tend to have a sarcastic sense of humor and like to make puns about things. We let our personalities shine through with these ideas. A few we saw online somewhere and recreated, a few just popped into our twisted heads.
Who doesn't love Al Bundy? I mean he did make 4 touchdowns in a single game after all! My husband is a HUGE Married with Children fan. Every Married with Children fan needs this t-shirt.
A super simple Halloween costume is to wear your No Ma’am shirt and you are instantly Al Bundy. My husband has actually worn this as a costume. If we would have thought about it ahead of time, I’d of purchased the items to myself Peg.
Are you a fan of puns? Cereal Killer is a great one! All you have to do is tape/velcro mini cereal boxes to your clothes. Plastic spoons work better than knives for this. You can also go all out and add some fake blood too if you’d like.
Superman is a classic superhero we all love right? I mean who doesn’t love the man of steel. Superman is a long-loved favorite of my husband’s. An easy DIY costume idea is to wear a Superman t-shirt (any fan has at least 1) underneath a button down t-shirt. You are now Clark Kent/Superman. You can keep it basic or dress it up more with thick dark glasses as Clark wore.
This Halloween costume is by far the easiest and cheapest. All you need is a marker, and Hello My Name is stickers. You can then be either identity crisis or identity theft. I’ve done this costume a few times as I don’t really like to dress up or stand out. It’s a great conversation starter as well. I had someone ask me one time at a party which was my real name. I said oh just depends on the mood of my husband that day. He got the hint and we all laughed.
Another superhero my husband is a fan of is Iron Man. He loves Iron Man to the point that in our phones we list each other as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Yes, we are one of those “THOSE” types of couples.
One year my husband dressed up as Iron Man. For this costume, we taped an arc reactor toy to his chest and cut a hole in a blank black t-shirt. This arc reactor toy is great for fans of all ages of Iron Man.
