Everyone wants to eat healthier but do not want to give up on their favorite food. The struggle is real! Have you tried an Air Fryer yet? It’s the best of both worlds, your favorite foods but in a healthy way. There is absolutely NO oil! This air fryer breaded pork chop recipe is both delicious and takes next to no time at all to cook. It takes longer to bread them than it does to cook them.
I am always looking for ways to make dinner faster, but yet it still is healthy. My husband is your classic meat and potato kind of guy. While protein in meat is good for you, it’s not always the easiest to cook without grease. Grease is a big trigger for our digestive issues. We can now have all of our favorites without any flare-ups from our medical conditions and I spend less time in the kitchen cooking. That is a win-win to me.
There are a few different types of air fryer’s on the market. We have the 6qt NuWave Brio Air Fryer. The NuWave Brio Digital Air Fryer allows you to enjoy everything from fried chicken to mozzarella sticks to onion rings and everything in between all without soaking in unhealthy fat and oil that you’d find in traditional deep-fried food. Now you can bake, roast, grill, broil, toast and air fry a wide variety of foods using little to no oil, resulting in food that is just as delicious as ever, but without the grease. In addition, nearly all of the parts are dishwasher safe, so clean up is a breeze.
It is easy to preheat the air fryer and to set your cooking time. The food comes out crispy and delicious. Our oven is not that great and to get some food crispy you have to put in longer. We end up with food that is overdone or burnt on the outside but not always done in the middle. My husband has no sense of taste and eats off of texture. The texture is a big deal, he loves crispy food.
One of our favorite meals in the air fryer is breaded pork chops. The old way we made them was in a bit of oil (so not to stick to the pan) on the stove. Now I just bread them and cook them in the air fryer. They come out crispy and juicy every single time.
Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chop Recipe
The breading for this recipe is super easy and versatile. I use it on pork chops and chicken. It’s simple and delicious. This is not my recipe, I originally got this recipe from Kati’s House for Garlic Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops. The best part about this breading is you probably have all of the ingredients you need right in your pantry already.
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp oregano
salt and pepper
Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Bread your pork chops on both sides. It’s that simple.
I preheated the air fryer to 375 degrees. I then cooked the pork chops for 10 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking time. That is how quick and easy this recipe is. It’s perfect for a busy weeknight when you just want to get dinner on the table, so you can relax.
