Carol Burnett has always been a favorite of mine. I remember watching re-runs of her comedy show (I was born in the early 70s) and also watching her on Mama's Family. She is truly a comedic genius. Who can forget her famous Scarlett from Gone With The Wind skit?

Highlights of the Carol Burnett 50th anniversary celebrate DVD include:

  • Carol's guests try out her famous Tarzan yell – Bill Hader, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Tracee Ellis Ross all give it a go, but a late, video entry wins the day – Steve Carell!
  • Jim Carrey's 10-year-old self-re-enacts receiving a reply to his Carol Burnett Show fan letter

This DVD would make a great gift for any Carol Burnett fan or a fan of classic television. They sure don't make television the way they used to. My husband and I tend to watch classic television more than what is currently on the air.
