Food delivery no longer has to be just pizza and hoagies. Food delivery apps can deliver dinner from your favorite restaurant to save you delivery apps

We are all busy in our lives in one way or another. The last thing you want to do after working all day or running errands is to cook dinner. There are also days where my Fibromyalgia flares up badly and I can't walk around the house easily let alone stand in the kitchen to cook dinner. Ordering takeout for dinner is nothing new. However, pizza, hoagies, and wings can get old real fast. Plus, they are not exactly healthy.

Modern technology is helpful at times. We are all addicted to our phones for various reasons. You know how the saying goes “There is an app for everything”? When it comes to ordering out this is true! I know of at least 3 different food delivery apps. There are apps that will not only food delivery apps to order your typical pizza, but also food from some of your favorite restaurants.

Food delivery apps are great for anyone that has a chronic medical condition, super busy or just don't feel like leaving the house. Neither my husband and I drive, so this is another added benefit.

3 of my favorite food delivery apps.

There are 3 apps that I use regularly: Uber Eats, GrubHub, and DoorDash. All 3 are available for both Android and iOS.

UberEats is the first app I used. I learned about it because it was advertised on the door of a few of my favorite places. You do need to have an Uber account to be able to use the app which makes sense.  Since we don't drive, we use Uber all the time. One of my favorite restaurants is a popular Pittsburgh Sandwich shop called Primanti Bros. They have different branches and one of the ones closed to my home delivers! Who wouldn't want this sandwich delivered to them?

GrubHub is another favorite. I suffer from anxiety and I really don't like talking on the phone to strangers, even if it's just to order food. When I go to order dinner, I look to see which app has which restaurants. For me locally, GrubHub will deliver food like KFC. We all love KFC but it's so much better when I don't have to go pick it up!

Last but not least…DoorDash. DoorDash is newer to my area app and quickly becoming one of my favorites. Last night I ordered Wendy's and had it delivered! Seriously! I was busy working and my husband didn't feel like cooking either. He claimed he wasn't hungry (something he says often). However, I know his food weaknesses are Wendy's and Eat ‘n Park. I can order from either place and I'm confident he'll eat.

I'm sure we will be using these food delivery apps more in the winter when it's cold and snowy out. We can have our favorite meals delivered to us. Amazing.

Have you tried any of these food delivery apps yet? Which is your favorite?
