Healthy meals are important not just at home, but at work too. Eating healthy is most than one healthy meal. It is a commitment and includes your snacks to be healthy as well.
There is more to healthy eating than not eating out, although that is part of it. Do you eat fruits and vegetables? How about all of the food groups? I know we do not eat as healthy as we should. It's hard with just the two of us, we don't really make big meals. We tend to just buy quick things we like, and then have “fend for yourself” nights for dinner.
Eating healthy meals is important if you suffer from health problems as well.
We all know how it's bad to eat a lot of processed foods. They are high in fat, sugar, and salt. I have to be careful with my salt intake because I have high blood pressure and salt gives me a headache indicating that my blood pressure is rising. I'm good with eating healthy for meals. My weakness is snacks. Oh, what a sweet tooth I have. I love chocolate and always have some sort of chocolate in the house. I try to find healthy options for my sweet tooth and snacking.
The extremely hard part of eating healthy meals is when you are away from home. If you work out of the home lunch is extremely difficult. Eating out with your co-workers is fun but it is not exactly healthy. Plus, it can get very expensive! The best way to eat healthy meals, and save money is to pack your own lunch and don't forget your mid-morning snack!
