Hello and welcome to Gina’s Library! You are probably wondering who I am, and what my site is all about. This is my “library” of different thoughts and topics to help you live a calmer life. We all have stress, don’t we?
Before I get into what you’ll find on my site, I’ll give you a brief rundown of who I am.
Obviously, my name is Gina. I am a 40+ married woman who is now an empty nester. I am classified as medically disabled. This means I have way too many medical problems that prohibit me from having gainful employment. My husband has his own set of chronic illness as well. We live in Southwestern Pennsylvania with our beloved dog Krypto.
What type of content can you find on Gina’s Library?
The older I get, the more I believe in trying to live a stress-free life. Stress is not just well stressful, but it can also cause medical problems or make existing ones flare up. You can find posts are the following topics:
* Chronic Illness
*Products I love and that will help you in life
* Services that help make your life easier for you and your family.
*Crafts (I’m not really that crafty but I try so they will be easy to do)
These are the main topics but others can and will be added periodically. Examples of my work
Why chronic illness/mental health topics?
I made the decision to post about the topics of chronic illness and mental illness because frankly, they are not discussed enough. At least not from a personal perspective. It is not easy to live with any kind of illness. An invisible one is downright frustrating!
I personally suffer (suffer is the correct word) from Fibromyalgia, Social Anxiety, and Depression. I have more going on but those are the 3 biggies!
My husband is a Stage 4 Cancer survivor and has medical problems from the chemo that was used to save his life. He also suffers from Bipolar II. I’m the sole caregiver (other than his medical team) of his care. It’s a challenge on a good day. It’s torture when we are both having a bad day.
I want to bring awareness what it’s truly like to be sick but not look sick. I also want to help bring much-needed awareness to mental illness.
